A better shot to give you an idea of what the whole thing looked like. Questions? Comments? Concerns?

Photo by Murphoid. I really need to get the full-sized version from him. . .

So is she Celt or a Viking?...because these were two different societies living in different times. :/

The Celts and vikings interacted both in time and space.

True. In fact, the Celts were heavily influenced by the Vikings at one time, were they not? Still, it is a completely fantastical costume. . . that I still love very much. Haven't worn it in ages. Need to change that.

It's not COMPLETELY fantastical. Olaf the White was king of Dublin!

Well, as a woman living in either time, I likely wouldn't be wearing this in either society. So, it is a fantastical creation inspired by both. I was roaming about with an elf, a warrior monk, and a crazy tattooed barbarian, after all. ^_^

The celts did have female warriors they just wore long dresses and wielded spears and swords. This was during roman and early medieval time I think.

Thanks! I made it myself out of some spare wool. It's not very tidy up close (it was made in an evening) but it did the job rather nicely. My furs are all separate so I can move them to different cloaks.
